Position Description

The ideal Synthesio Pre-Sales Engineer has the perfect mix of technical knowledge and business acumen - driven and ready to make an immediate impact on our global sales team.  Reporting to the Director of Global Presales, the Pre-Sales Engineer will collaborate with our Sales and Client Services teams throughout the enterprise sales process, and will be a key factor in closing business.  As a product expert, the Sales Engineer helps our clients understand the benefits of the Synthesio offering and how they can leverage the features and functionality to accomplish their desired business objectives.  This role is a results-oriented team performer with the motivation and skill to drive the technical presales process. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as Synthesio technical product expert
  • Engage with prospects/customers in various stages in the sales cycle, understanding their pain/specific use cases and mapping it to Synthesio benefits and functionality
  • Manage the technical agenda throughout the sales process, including building and delivering custom-tailored product demonstrations, responding to RFP/RFI proposals, delivering roadmap presentations, technical discovery and scoping – and creating related, customer-facing presentations and documents
  • Grow and enhance your personal knowledge of social industry trends, partner technologies, and competitive solutions

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of either enterprise software presales/sales engineering experience or implementation experience in Fortune 1000 accounts
  • Strong enterprise application experience presenting a SaaS solution to business professionals, including Customer Experience, Marketing, Customer Support, PR, and Market Research.
  • Ability to understand customer issues and map high level business issues to the technical solution and to provide a roadmap for the customer’s success
  • Ability to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFP
  • Ability to convey customer requirements to Product Management, Product Marketing and R&D teams
  • Prior experience working in a high growth, technology based startup preferred
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field preferred
