Regional Vice President of Sales

Position Summary

The Regional Vice President of Sales reports to the VP of Global Sales (based in NYC) and is responsible for driving the company’s achievement of customer acquisition and revenue goals in the Northern European region.  He/she will own the direction and management of all new business sales and business development operations, and will be responsible for continually strengthening the sales organization to match the rapid evolution of the company in the marketplace.  This position will have a significant impact on the success of the company, and will have extensive interaction with other senior executives, providing input into key strategic decisions, such as customer prioritization, pricing and positioning.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all regional revenue and profitability goals are achieved.
  • Oversee the hiring and development of the sales organization. Responsible for determining the optimum structure of the group, putting the systems in place to deliver a high performance sales team.
  • Enhance the existing systems and build new systems to support the sales organization as Synthesio continues to achieve stronger and stronger revenue targets.
  • Establish compensation, training, and sales incentive programs that inspire and drive the sales staff to over-deliver.
  • Drive the development and execution of the strategic sales revenue plan.
  • Manage overall sales process, setting appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.

This role is responsible for building, mentoring and managing the sales organization. The requirement is to maintain a strong personal presence and involvement in all significant selling opportunities. This job is based in London.


  • 10+ years experience of complex selling of SaaS solutions using a consultative sales methodology.
  • Experience closing enterprise deals, including penetrating Global 5000.
  • Proven track record of achieving year-over-year individual and team quota.
  • Proven ability to attract, hire and retain A+ sales talent.
  • Proven ability to build, maintain and accurately forecast an enterprise sales pipeline.
  • Prior track record of managing and continually enhancing the needed sales infrastructure and processes to support growth, including but not limited to, compensation plans, onboarding programs, skills development incentives, account planning strategies, QBR review processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.

  • Must be willing and able to be hands on – the VP will be participating in RFP creation and will be responsible for crafting the materials that will be integral to the sales process.
  • Ability and experience managing teams: at least 5 years at regional, national, or global level.
  • A compelling communicator - able to convey needed Executive presence with internal and external audiences, including Synthesio leadership team, Clients and Partners.
